Epic Engagement Process For Custom Hardware, Connectivity, and Cloud Connected Solutions for OEM Partnerships

Initial consultation to understand manufacturers ‘requirements, goals, industry, and current systems (legacy or modern) to Identify:

    • Critical infrastructure points (e.g., fire panels, pumps, HVAC, energy meters, etc.)
    • Desired data points and control requirements
    • Compliance needs (e.g., UL, ULC, NFPA, CSA, etc.)
    • Integration protocols (e.g., RS232, RS485, Modbus, BACnet, Keybus, etc.)
  • Evaluate existing equipment and protocols for compatibility.
  • Determine network availability (LTE, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, RF, etc.) and power options.
  • Identify whether retrofitting or new hardware is needed.
  • Identify the cloud needs
  • Propose a customized hardware solution (Gateways, RTU, edge device):
    • Define I/O, serial, protocols converters, and enclosure requirements
  • Design connectivity architecture (secure LTE/IP with fallback options)
  • Design cloud interface:
    • Dashboard layouts
    • User roles and access
    • Alerting and reporting needs
  • Present a detailed solution proposal including:
    • Hardware specs
    • Cloud platform features
    • Data flow and integration map
  • Customize hardware with OEM branding, enclosures, and labeling
  • White label the cloud platform or provide co-branded access
  • Develop APIs or dashboards tailored to customer workflows
  • Ensure UL, ULC, FCC, or other relevant certifications
  • Perform environmental and functional testing
  • Provide documentation for customer approval
  • Finalize the Bill of Materials (BOM) and manufacturing specs.
  • Engage contract manufacturing partners for production.
  • Establish production schedule, quality control (QC), and factory acceptance testing (FAT).
  • Plan inventory, packaging, and logistics.
  • Create a deployment guide for customer teams or integrators
  • Plan logistics: staging, provisioning, and installation schedules
  • Train customer personnel or integration partners
  • Deliver pre-configured hardware with plug-and-play cloud activation
  • Monitor deployment progress and assist remotely if needed
  • Ensure ongoing reliability through remote diagnostics, and OTA updates
  • Provide real-time system health dashboard and automated alerts
  • Enable advanced analytics and provide regular performance report
  • Drive expansion to new systems regions, and markets
  • Strengthen partner value through co-branded collateral and join launches
  • Support channel enablement through demos, webinars, training, and documentation
